 The reason the Picnic Deck is important to Pumpjack fans... It was a
point brought up in the negotiations for an extension of the Driller park
rental contract with Kilgore ISD. The Pumpjacks started the deck last
year by cementing the support beams in the ground. They abandoned
the project for somereason, leaving lumber piled around on the third
base side of the field.
In the negotiations with Kilgore ISD for another year at Driller, the
Pumpjacks agreed to finish the project before Kilgore High School
Baseball started...and the start of high school baseball is almost here.
