Do you remember all the talk we had several months ago about this minor league
that was going to put a team in BOTH Tyler and Longview ?
(Even though Longview has no Stadium)
Well I got up the other day half asleep and picked up the Longview paper.
I thought the headline said Longview gets Semi-Pro Baseball Team.
I couldn't believe it so I went and got my glasses and looked again
and it actually said Longview gets Semi-Pro Basketball Team...
wishful thinking on my part I guess...
The moral of the story is never read the paper until you get your glasses on LOL !!
The Semi-Pro title is something I have had a battle with the Kilgore Chamber of Commerce
over. I have asked them not to call the Cats and Sports semi-pro ... they are Minor League.
They asked if
that would make me angry enough to not come to the game.
I said no but I might have to get Brent after you LOL !
Recently the Kilgore News Herald printed an article about the "semi-pro game" getting canceled
I guess I will have to take them on as well.
I think they got their information from the Chamber, however.
