Harris Street Park in which Driller Park, is located, has had one million dollars worth of improvements made to it in the last year.
New paved Parking Lots have
been added, a new Veterans Monument made of black marble has been erected along with a small oil derrick.
A new softball field has been added and is the home of the Lady Bulldogs of Kilgore High School.
A new picnic area and playground, along with two new tennis courts have been built.
A walking/jogging trail around the stadium not only makes it convenient to exercise but also makes retrieving home run balls much easier.
The Historic stadium itself has had a new concession stand, restrooms and dressing facilities.
The historic stands remain the same as does the one feature that makes this park unique, the fences of tank steel.
