The problem with Single A ball is findind enough competition.  I think the Rangers would be interested in Tyler as a single A affiliate but who would they play?  Maybe the Astros would consider a Single A team in proximity to Houston.  But it would take at least 4 other Major League Teams willing to field Single A teams in Texas-Louisiana-Arkansas-Oklahoma.  Kansas City with a team in Oklahoma?  St.Louis with a team in Arkansas?  After that it gets real thin.
