T'was the week after Christmas
up at the North Pole
Santa was relaxing from
That long night of Ho Ho’s
One thing still bothered him,
A wish he couldn’t bring
To those in East Texas...
A new baseball team.
As he dressed for a game
With the elves and Reindeer
He suddenly remembered
An old souvineer
He pulled from his closet
Tyler Roughneck clothes
From a trip to East Texas...
To thaw out his toes
As he dressed Santa thought
"I am really sorry y'all
Those Baseball Owners
Aren't on my nice list at all
I asked them so politely
But they wouldn't believe
Even I have no control over an
Independent Baseball League
Some time in the future
Our pleas they may hear
But until they do ... have a
Happy New Year"
