Hey Jeff,

I swim just about every Sat. morning at the Spears Y at 6am with Crystal Lynch
(Ron Booker's niece).  We swim for at least 30 min., most of the time longer. We
normally do some other type of work out at Spears directly after our swim, so
depending on what we do after is how we decide how long we'll swim. You're
welcome to join us if you like.
But next Sat. (Dec. 13th) I will not be able to swim that morning because I have
a dog agility trial I have to attend.  I will be there on Dec. 20th, but I will
be out of town on Dec. 27th.  Once Dec. is over we will be there every Sat.
morning.

I teach a swim lesson at the Spears Y on Tues/Thurs nights from 6-6:45pm (until
Dec 18th). After my lesson I normally do some laps.  If you're interested you
can come at that time. The down side to this time is that the pool is VERY busy,
and it's normally hard to get a lane.

I'll keep you posted with my swim times/days at Spears, if none of this works
out for you.

Do any of you have experience with a swim coach you'd recommend?  I've
talked to some (non-triathlete) friends, and they all know "someone";
usually somebody who's coached kids' swim teams, etc.

The harder I work, the slower I get!

off of Galimore Dairy Rd. Suzanne has sent out some info on this
meeting already but the response has been VERY limited. Velocity Sports
has been graceous to offer this night for our team, so it would be good
to have as many members come as possible. Of course, members can bring

Everyone, our TTT polar bottles have arrived. Get yours today. You can

The open water swim at Belews Creek was a BIG success. A special thanks
to Suzanne for putting this together and John Dewey for coaching. We
plan to hold several events out there in the spring possibly including
an aquathon and a wetsuit demonstration.

We have a couple of events to close out the "TTT's triathlon season"
starting with an open water swim clinic next Tues. evening at Belews
Lake. Then on the 9th will be a bike time trial near Grandover resort.

attend both.

We're in the process of putting together the fall/winter monthly
meetings along with the indoor triathlons and Eggstravaganza race. The
monthly meetings are going to be the 1st week of the month on a Tues or
Wed starting hopefully on Oct 1st. If you have any monthly meeting
requests pass them along to me.

TTT is always looking for sponsors, so if you know of any business,
doctors office, dentist, etc who you think might be willing to be a
sponsor please let us know. It never hurts to ask!

Lastly, all of you artists out there, we want you to submit a new logo
for the Eggstravaganza race. If you can't draw, like me, then get your
family, significan other, to submit something. The winning design will
recieve free entry to the race for as long as we use the logo!

Numerous TTT members participated in the 2nd annual Triad Triathlon at
NE park Sunday. An intense thunderstorm 30mins before the race start,
forced the run away from the trails and all on the pavement circling
the park. TTT had a VERY good showing. Benji Hones dominated the mens
race while Jessie Baranowski placed second for the females. There were
numerous other age group winners as well. It was enjoyable to see and
talk to everyone!

I still need a few more volunteers for the Ramblin Rose Tri Aug. 24th
in Winston-Salem. If you don't want to go by yourself, then bring a
friend/significant other!  I need to have everyone signed in by the end
of the week.

Me too....I did the race last year and enjoyed it. A lot more laid back
versus the SetUp races.

The bike course is moderately hilly and the run is mostly on a trail
(also hilly).

I'd love to ride the course with you but I can't slip away from work
then.

South Carolina just passed a new bicycle law to protect people on
bicycles. We need this kind of law in NC. I have a file posted here

TTT had another strong showing at Mission Man this year. We put up a
tent just up from the finish and enjoyed chatting it up after the race.
Congrats to Hilton Herndon and Mary Beth Errington for being the higher
male/female TTT finishers (12th male/11th female). Also, a shout out
needs to go to Jessie Baranowski, Mary Beth Errington, and Karen Buxton
for WINNING their respective age groups!  Numerous other TTT members
had a successful race, as well!

Please use this message board to tells us how you did at this triathlon
or any other race!

I want to welcome everyone to TTT's new group board. Please feel free
