What's up Tidewater ultimate? How's everything going? It looks from
the website that there is some action on the Tidewater Ultimate
scene. Thats good. I wish I could join you all for some tourneys,
but that will have to wait until next year. I will make sure that I
am in good shape.
I have been doing some traveling as of late. So this experience is
starting to take form.
As you know I went to Budapest last weekend and man it was fun as
hell. I was there for only three days, but I did so much it felt
like I was there for a week and a half. We walked and toured the
city. Took a night boat tour. Went caving through some crazy caves
on the Buda side. I was sliding on my back and stomach, crawling on
my hands and knees, climbing up rocks and squeezing through holes
that I never thought I could make it through. But I did! It was
awesome. I suggest it to you if you are not clostraphobic. The last
day we went to the natural spring spas. That was pretty cool and
very relaxing, but I saw some of the ugliest bodies in the world and
they were not scared to flaunt them. Ugh!
This past weekend, if you haven't heard from Mom, Rob Paulsen, a
friend Jerry from Portland, Oregon and I all went to Italy. We drove
to Venice. Got there late at night, partied until 5 or so and looked
for a place to crash. We didn't try too hard. We ended up sleeping
in Rob's car on the tenth floor of a parking garage. Not too
comfortable, but it did the trick. The next day we walked all around
Venice. Its a cool damn place.
Around four we got back into Rob's car and started heading south down
the east coast of Italy. We ended up at a small beach resort town
called Cervia. It was pretty cool. We got a cheap three bed room
for the night. Thank God! We ate dinner at a nice Italian place
across the street from the hotel. The cool thing was that we were
the only Americans probably in the entire town. We had a hot
waitress and the night of drinking began. I tried to pick up the
waitress and she seemed to be enjoying my attempts, but I speak no
Italian and her knowledge of the English language was very limited.
It did get pictures with all the waitresses that worked at that
place, so that wasn't to bad.
Overall, I have had a couple of exciting weekends in a row. I
started my journey off slowly. But over the last month and a half I
have gone to Munich 4 times, Stuggart, Innsbruck, Austria, Buddapest,
Hungary and now a couple places in Italy. So the fun has begun. Its
a very exciting time and I look forward to more adventures.
WEll I just wanted to drop a line to everyone. I hope you are all
doing well. I check the website every couple days. so keep me
posted. Take care and good luck in any tourneys you all enter.
