Great thoughts Curtis, I am in agreement.Joe and I checked out the fields this
morning and found 2 decent ones with lights, one however has a considerable
amount of baseball field in it but the other one seems functional.
We are just asking for everyone who comes to play on Sunday to bring 30 bucks in
cash, that way we can start a pot of money, see how much we get, and from there
book about 2 months or 10 weeks of field time. So, bring your money, no IOU's,
and we can all enjoy some ultimate under the lights this fall...
Thanks,
Joe and KC

[TideUlt] Fields for night games
Joe,Thanks for taking this initiative. I like the prospect, and I'd be willing
to pony up my share if you deem that field conditions are OK and terms for our
access/use acceptable. No matter where we end up doing the pay-to-play thing, it
might save lots of emailing and uncertainties to designate one person as
coordinator to make the Go/Nogo call when weather, holidays, etc make turnout
doubtful. Also, it might work smoother to have that person act as treasurer,
where we all pay a one-time (whole-season) fee up front and the coordinator
handles payment to the city for GO days. For times when the coordinator might be
out-of-town/whatever, they could ask someone else to cover for them (email the
Go/Nogo and pay the city), with the coordinator reimbursing them later. Money
remaining come spring (from no-go days) will fund our Here-Comes-the-Sun Party
at your house. Thanks again,Curtis----- Original Message ----- From: joe rieger

[TideUlt] Fields for night gamesHey Everyone,Ok I checked into a field with
lights in Norfolk and here is the deal.We could start playing Nov 1 consistently
at Lake Wood Park which in on Willow Wood Ave in Norfolk. The field has lights
and if we could start later in the evening to reduce traffic issues with folks
heading across the water. It is close to the highway and also close for the
folks in Norfolk. Also we could start playing before Nov 1 if we wanted however
we would need to plan around football. The cost is a little high but here is the
deal it is $65/day. So if we played 20 nights (would take us until Aprilish time
(with the holidays out) it would cost $1,300. If we had 20 people to contribute
it would only cost each person $65 bucks total. About $3.25 each a game. If this
is something we want to do please let me know and we can also talk about it
tonight at pickup. If we can get the numbers for this I will go over and check
out the field and sign us up.Also this is only Norfolk we could try other cities
and or
universities.Joe__________________________________________________________Peek-a\
