Yeah, I saw both the FSU thread and the photos. I didn't see any more
info about the new boyfriend on Oksana's site, but there are some pics
of her recent trip to the Ukraine. And by recent, I mean VERY recent,
like from last week.

I wonder what's to become of Oksana's clothing line now that she and
Gene are no longer together? I have no idea what happened between them
and it's none of my business anyhow. But from a fan's POV, I'm sorry
it's over. I felt that she grew up a lot while she was with him. The
relationship seemed to give her some stability that she couldn't
attain on her own and that she sure as heck wasn't going to get from
anyone in the skating world.

Hmm, well, I hadn't heard this, but maybe it's true.   If it is, I guess
it's a good thing she and Gene didn't marry.

Well,I got it uploaded to both the file section,and the photos.If this
route proves fruitful,I should try it again with my other articles.

In the current issue of Spotlight On Skating magazine,there is a 4-
pager on Oksana;"Baiul Reaches Out to Orphans".Includes 5 pictures of
her with Tikva members and orphans.Clears up one thing that puzzled
fans recently:Oksana and Gene are still 'engaged',but "I have no plans
for marriage yet.I live with a guy,and we're very happy.For me,marriage
means kids,and we have no plans for kids yet.We are our own family".

My attempts at sending scans through these Yahoogroups has been less-
than-successful,so I am going to try this again on Sunday,as well as
send it separately,to at least 4 of you.

Slightly off-topic,go to  http://www.hotice.ru/news/3/body/146  ,for
a mention of Oksana's appearence in Ice Symphony in
Russia.Unfortunately,the entire thing is in Russia/Cyrillic,so
someone who knows both will have to translate it for us.I tried
Babelfish,but no success.

I had read earlier that Oksana was supposed to be on "Skating With the
Stars." But there were some posts on the skating boards today that
listed all the skaters and celebrities who are going to be on this
program and Oksana's name was not mentioned.

I checked in at http://www.oksanastyle.com  ,and there was news that
she is going to tour in Russia,first with Ice Symphony (
http://www.icesymphony.com ),then with some other show,then a tour!This
should be interesting!I'm going to ask people at that Ukranian message
board to keep a watch out for her,and give us accounts should they
attend any shows(also ask Tania and Katja,two Muscovites who attend the
Ice Symphony shows.Like me,they are fans of Elena Sokolova,and run two
message boards,one English,they other Russian.Off-topic,thru Katja,I
was able to get Elena to send me two signed photos,from Russia during
the 2005 Worlds).
