Sorry you left no name.
Leave aside all of the methods that you have read, they will only confuse
and make it impossible to understand.
Joes explanation will give you a good starting point, and as you progress,
you will find your own technique, but it will take time. Dont get fed up
trying, start by varying your distances just a few feet only until you can
master, say, 8---11ft.and dont try ANY other distances until you can master
the 8--11ft. keep going and ask questions anytime. There are plenty on
this site who are only too willing to help a fellow thrower.
