Anyone have any suggestions on where/how I can get some custom
throwing knifes made? I finally have a really good idea for a set of
knifes that would work for throwing after much time and thought (and
throwing).
I really don't wanna have to buy all the crap to make the knifes at my
house because a.) no room for the stuff b.) there are people who can
do a better job making them c.) my wife would kill me if I spent
thousands just to make 6 or so knifes :)

In my opinion, a good choice is to Draw your designs in Corel Draw, Save them in an Autocad extention, then have the knives laser cutted, thats what I do here,...
Is the shape for ascetic or functional purposes? I made one yesterday from strip steel, 2cm wide and 23cm long, weighs 85 grams and works fine. Two cuts and...
Which shape are you referring to? As far as the shur-knife design we did, it is for both looks and function. The new design that Pat came up with doesn't have...
I,m thinking about any knife, is there any point in anything other than a basic strip with a point? ... function. The new design that Pat came up with doesn't...
Guards are not important to have on a throwing knife; I concur with Roy. But they might make a nice design element sometimes, just for looks. ERT ... From: Roy...
Yeah guards will unbalance a throwing knife, so you would need a pommel to help counter balance to throw in a conventional manner. Guards look nice and give a...
Charles If you put the guard in the Center of the knife, it will not counterbalance it. Ok, its Not the way for Normal knives, but for a throwing knife it...
Hi Dalmo, Putting a guard in the centre of a blade would only counterbalance it if the blade and the grip had the same weight. Even then it would be a bit ...

Sorry guys for not being around much. I am still recovering from my operation. I am just now getting back up to speed. I hope everyone is doing well. I can...
Bobby, It is great to hear from you. I will get my friend to contact you offline about this. You know him; he doesn't like publicity so I don't put his name on...
Bobby I may still have my original drawing, that I made for the laser cutter. I will check later on. Can always make another though and mail it over. Good...
Roy, Could you find some way to post the drawing or specs on that knife design online? Like a picture on the group site, maybe? That way both Bobby and the...

John Actually, straight is better if you want to do spin control, cause it gives better slideability from the hand ,which is something you really need in long...
Well the basic design will be allot like a bayonet, with a slight swoop on the cutting edge almost like a saber. I have made some "throwing Implements" but I...
