Hey folks! Glad to have stumbled on this list.

I've been working at no spin throwing, using the Ralph Thorn book as my
bible, and having a lot of fun with it.

However, I'm having trouble breaking the 16 foot barrier. I think it
is partly that the knives I am using are a bit short (about 10.5") and
partly my own novice skill level.

I'm looking at buying a handful of longer throwers -- probably the Cold
Steel Perfect Balance thrower, which occasions a question:

Is it possible to do effective no-spin throwing WITHOUT rebalancing a
knife to make it hilt heavy? The CS thrower is such a nicely shaped
bowie that I sort of hate to modify it for throwing when it could be
such a great multi-purpose blade.

Thoughts? Suggestions?
