I want to thank you all that have joined as well as those prospective

I will try to keep this group as interesting and informative as
possible.
I have added links that will enable you to research your 1911's as
well as keep up with new additions to the handgun market.
I have tried to cover all aspects of the 1911 and the many different
needs that you all have.
From the looks of the membership...we have retired military, law
enforcement officers (LEO's), NRA Instructors, CEO's...one from
Crimson Trace, and every other field dealing with the handgun
community.

The Colt factory is producing 100 specialy serialized stainless .45's
this month called the Presidential. They feature an elaborate gold
etched and polished slide with the Colt Rampant pony prominantly
diplayed over the rounded top of the slide. The barrel bushing, safety
and magazine release are gold plated. The grips are dark fancy walnut,
with a fancy double diamond patten and a carved and raised Rampant Colt
in the center. Grip screws are gold. Serial numbers are GB0001-GB100.

With the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the M1911 approaching, it
is none too soon to begin a push to see John M. Browning honored for
his accomplishments, both a gun designer and as a patriot, by having
his portrait on a postage stamp.
