Re: [The1911Semi-AutomaticPistol] Concealed carry holsters

On a bike, I can definitely see the attraction of an SOB. I will give you the standard arguments against it and you can make up your own mind. First, should you happen to fall flat on your back, you have an iron bar smacking into your vertabrae increasing the damage of the fall. Second, the SOB is the easiest holster to disarm. It's hard to stop someone from taking your pistol out of the holster when it is behind your back.

Waitin on my new Kimber Ultra Carry II, looking at Galco's SOB holster.
I wear jeans 100% of the time, I ride a harley 98% of the time and the
SOB holster seems like it would be most comfortable. They make a really
nice IWB h9olster as does DeSantis, anyone have any comments for a
rookie?

I like the Galco for my Ultra Carry. Just make sure you have the next size of pants up from your normal waist line, even if it an outside holster. Jerry...

If it doesn't have to be concealed, a nice tactic holster on your thigh would work. But if you do the road rash thing, the pistol is toast. Jerry...
