New for 2009! “Fast Photo Pro is proud to be the official photographers and

Fisk Knob provides the perfect opportunity to kick-off your 2009
season. So, set a goal, start training, and test
your early season fitness at the “Knob.” But register early - Fisk
Knob has reached the registration limit prior to race-day the past two
seasons. So save yourself those late registration fees and ensure that
you're part of the competition. In addition, all pre-registered riders are included
in the raffle for numerous prizes and giveaways (last season, over 30 prizes
were raffled off).

all email inquiries to the event director at:fiskknob@...
Here is a great and relatively cheap opportunity for some warm weather training in the Smokey Mountains. I went on this trip last year and it really kicked my butt into gear for the season. See the attachment for details. Let me know if you are interested in going so we can make carpooling arrangements etc...
New Years day works for me if it works for everyone else.

I should have passed this on earlier so here it is; An offer from John Harris to use his garage/gym for weight training.
I would like to propose a night this week, say Tuesday after work around 6 pm. or Thursday afternoon since it is New Years, to have a team meeting/ trainer workout. We could do it at my house depending on the turnout. My basement will only handle 6 trainers in a good way. Seven if someone doesn't mind having a washing machine for a ride companion,(Next to it not on).

Hey Eric,
I would like to offer the team winter strength & conditioning training. If you want to let the official team members know they are welcome to contact me and train in my "facility" to build up their "drive trains.

Mike, I am sending this to the list to make sure it comes back. I like the idea of getting together for some workouts. What is your address and contact information so we can get an idea of who is interested. Thanks, Eric
Hi Eric! I looked and looked and haven't found a good email list for the team. I'll ask John if he has it. I've been extremely crunched lately working on 3 different projects including teaching.
I was thinking that maybe we can set up some indoor training sessions in January - my basement is big enough and I have a big screen TV we could use.
Hey Mike, I have been banning/messaging the Yahoo membership list. I re-imaged my computer without saving my Outlook info so if you have any contact info for: Tim Kissman, Ian Buckley, Dan Smith, Anthony Konkol, John Pogoncheff, Brendan McCue Jon Foote, Ryan Naglekirk, Kurt Crandell, let me know.
We need to contact our sponsors for next season. This includes:
Healthy & Fit Magazine Ingham Regional Medical Center (IRMC) bebuydrive.com Speedplay Excellerade (spelling error here on the site)! It is Accelerade iZook.com American Classic which all have links on the old site which I am going to have taken down and replace with a "Web page under construction" notice and a link to contact one of us. I will have to check with John H. to see if there is any bad blood after last summer's fiasco with common crit with any of the sponsors etc. Here is the link to that proposed race: http://www.teamvenomcycling.com/CCCC.htm That was with Healthy & Fit mag. And I am not sure if we want to do a race this summer or not. We should decide on this soon as schedules are already in place and some races confirmed. There is such a thing as "Race out of a box" which provides numbers instructions, ideas etc. The membership dues should be $15 still and payable to SpinStreet I suppose. I think Chad needs the money more than we do. I propose that your's and mine be waived for work performed.
Please call me at 484 8596 at home before 10 pm Friday or after 4 pm Sat or Sun. Thanks, Eric
I still have a few different uniform sizes available if anybody needs them. Just drop me an email to inquire about sizes. Good luck to the team and I will be admiring from afar...but not to far.
Water and good cheer will still always be available to you guys out on the Stillman loop.

Hey, Meet at the Hannah Community Center at 12:00 noon Saturday 12/13 for a 53 mile ride to Laingsburg. This will be a no drop, tempo pace ride and we will stop for a quick coffee at Laingsburg. Questions call Eric @ 484 8596 or 214 5535. Lets get together for a meeting before the holidays to plan the 2009 season. I have ordered matching socks for our kits, they are $5.00 a pair, the shipping is on me, (And so are the 20 pairs if no one is interested)! Also there is one medium team kit still available from John Harris and we can get new without a minimum order if need be. I have blocked the recent spam from our Yahoo list and would like all of you to enter a profile, picture etc. and add updated race resumes. I am going to set up a new team site over the Holidays so if you have any input you want to add let me know. Can anyone do Sat 6pm after the ride? Any suggestions for a dinner meeting early in the week say Monday night? Call me, Eric 484 8596 or 214 5535
Actually, Monday and Thursday night don't work this week. But Tuesday and Wednesday do.

Eric & gang,
It is indeed unfortunate to hear about John's resignation as head of team venom,
however, I'm
really hoping this doesn't discourage the rest of the dedicated riders out
there. And, as a bit
of extra motivation, I'd like to mention that I just got back from The Head of
The Eagle CREW
race in indianapolis, where the coach let me row 3 seat in the varsity boat. The
best part, I've
only been rowing for 6 weeks! So to all those self proclaimed "badasses" and
"pace pushers"
out there, come spring time there's going to be some new and VERY IMPROVED
muscle on the
road. CAT 3 here I come!!! Good luck trying to stay on my wheel.

We finished 11th in both cat 3 and cat 4, which is pretty impressive considering the number of riders we had actually racing, and how many races those guys missed as well. this sort of thing will have to be tolerated.
Hey, We did finish 3rd from last in the season standings in the CAT II if
Cherry Roubaix has been worked in. This is up from 2nd from last and with
only Chisolm and I in the CAT II this ain't bad. Any ideas for next years
team? I am now a free agent I guess or is that a phreed agent?
I will be riding @ 5:30 if it is dry from SpinStreet. Eric

I can't make it out tonight, but you all should still ride. Starting earlier would be a good idea, but hadn't been discussed yet. As it stands 6:00 is the plan. It should be ok with the little shorter route we've been doing. I'd move it to 5:30 next week though.

Hello All!
I have just accepted a position with Lender Processing Services (part of
Fidelity) in Jacksonville, FL starting October 6th. I am sad to be leaving the
team and the great friends I've made here, but am looking forward to the year
round riding and other benefits of Florida living.
I'll be out on the ride tonight and will try to make a couple more before I take
off. I also want to schedule an evening at the bar somewhere in the next couple
weeks. I'll post details when that gets scheduled.
Hope to see you on the ride,
Andy
