Kissman and I had a 6 month training package last year and both of us made significant improvements in our riding. They've erased some of the package options and bumped the price up a little bit so I'm not sure I'll be signing up with CTS for a new coach. If the price wouldn't have increased, I would have suggested it a little more.
At the bottom of the page is the itinerary for each day. Anyone else interested? I was able to use frequent flyer miles to get there, but if you drive it's about 10 hours.
They are about 1/2 full right now - let me know if you want to go!
Are there any training rides getting out right now? I was out yesterday and it was awesome (40 degrees.)
I just registered for this training camp:

I have been training every day and work full time as a cook. THe training camp is 7/January/2008 to 11/January/2008. John, one of the CAT II racers and I will be going. It is 5 hours riding a day and 2 hours of learning after. I will have to run once in a while as runners make the transition to cycling well. No wonder, they don't have gears.
Hey, I have been trying to get a wool, long sleeve Molteni/Faema jersey. They are $200 US here. What does a wool trainer cost there? I just want something that is European. E.
Hi Eric! How are you? How is the temperature today? Are you sure that going on bicycle below freezing point is...a good idea? I'm joking. Here i'm running on foot on sundays and wednsdays, and i'm doing indoor ciclyng on tuesdays and thursdays. Every workout is 1 - 1hr and 30 mins. If saturday the weather is go on the bicyle for 2 hours for an average of 40 miles. In January i will start the specific trainig. Back to serious matters, the property of your Godfather in the desert looks fantastic and warm unlike lansing in December tell me...!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy today's training and have a lovely weekend! The
distance between life as he knew it and life in a wheelchair was 2
millimeters for Michigan State University student Eric Phreed.
In July, Eric was competing in a bike race in Midland when his tire came off the rim in the final turn.
His
helmet was crushed when his head hit the roadway. Eric's vertebrae had
separated from the alignment of the spine, and doctors told him he was
2 millimeters away from having become a quadriplegic.
Eric was transferred from Midland to Sparrow where neurosurgeon Dr. Charles Bill operated to repair the damage to Eric's spine.
"Dr.
Bill is contagiously likeable. I just want to shake his hand and never
let go! He was so helpful, took time to answer all of my questions and
explain what had happened to me. The computer technology he uses to
show you what's happened is great."
A
week and a half after surgery, Eric got back on the stationary bike to
begin training again. In August, just a month after spinal surgery, he
logged 1,400 miles on his bike.
"I couldn't have been better cared for than I was at Sparrow. My goal is to be ready to race again - and win! - this spring."

Hey, welcome, I just joined the team and trained with them last summer.
What workouts do you have for us this time of year? Spring races don't
start here until April. We are doing a century this Saturday in below
freezing weather, should be fun.
A couple of us are going to Arizona in the southwest of the country to
escape the cold for training camp. Check out my Godfather's property on the
website I did at: www.desertmountainrentalhome.com
I will try to stay there if possible. Happy Holidays, Eric A. Phreed

Weather permitting, I will be out on Sunday with a few guys from the Jackson area. We meet up at the Jackson Comm. College Field House parking lot @ 1 p.m. Rides are usually a casual/tempo 25 - 30 miles. I'm not sure what my plans are for Saturday, I might get in the pool or get on the rollers or trainer.
The minutes show a 5:15 women's ride, and 5:30 hard
ride. Cody's message yesterday said 5:30 as well.

Hey,
It looks like lots of rain to the north w/ a front pushing S.E. but it
should be dry 'till dark. I am riding w/ the MSU kids @ 5:15 and actually
took :20 off my 10 mile TT this last Monday. Look for skating @ Munn and
Suburban Ice until Washington opens up for the season. Eric

Wednesday afternoon at 5:30pm we're meeting at the pavilion to have a mock
road race.
Q: Why should I come to this?
A: It beats riding by yourself, you'll learn a lot, nobody rides home alone,
and it's always a good time.
Q:How does it work?
A:We meet at the pav., ride out to the course on Dobie Rd., choose teams,
form strategies, and race!
Q:How long is it?
A:Total ride distance will be somewhere around 30ish miles, with about 8-16
miles of racing depending on how many times we do it.
Q:Am I fast enough?
A:Yes. EVERYBODY will play a role on his/her team and everyone will be able
to take away something positive from this.
If you have any additional questions call Cody 248-390-8672, email me,
facebook me, or whatever.
Cody
P.S. I'm guaranteeing that this will be fun.
P.P.S I'm begging you to come.

Hi,
As a few of you know, this Saturday there is a bike race in Grand Rapids. I
want to go pretty bad, but I'm in a tricky position without a ride there.
Is anybody going that would be willing to bring me and my bike with you? I
consider myself pretty good company and I'll even chip in some gas money.
Attached is the event flyer.

I have heard nothing about anybody actually going to Fenton either. Plus, with the weather being questionable, maybe the ride will be our normal Wed. ride?
On a somber note. I am pretty sure my season is done. My back cannot handle any type of "hard-sustained" effort. The more I keep resting it, the farther behind I am falling in my fitness level. I am going to try and see a chiropractor to see if I can get a "quick-fix".
