Thanks to everyone who came out for the inaugural Tuesday night ride! We had a
great tough ride, and plan to continue this route. After last week's ride I want
to clarify a few points on the route. An updated map with markers is available
here: http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-states/mi/lansing/496861210
1. The neutral roll out through Dewitt worked out well, we'll stick with that.
2. We will take the right at Main in Dewitt. It adds a stop light across old 27,
but saves the confusion of the curve at Round Lake Road.
3. Once we hit Round Lake Rd, expect a paceline, expect the pace to pick up,
expect to hurt.
4. Designated sprints: Laingsburgh city limits (the sign on the right side
around the curve), Stop ahead sign for bath Rd on Woodbury Rd, and the Bath city
limits sign. Both city limit signs are weird little ones that list sports
victories, not big green ones, so you know what to look for.
5. Note the route change at the end down Chandler. The group started trickling
off toward various homes at this point; this should extend the group time.
Let me know if anyone has other suggestions for this ride. It worked out to be a
nice race simulation, and I think that's a pretty popular format.
Again, this ride starts at Spin Street Bikes on Turner near Grand River Ave in
Old Town Lansing.
