Ladies,

Please be aware that there is a very dangerous rape suspect on the loose; he has committed 2 rapes within the last week - one in Solana Beach and one in Rancho San Diego; both victims were jogging alone at the time.

The San Diego County Sheriffs Department is warning the public to be aware of a serial sexual assault suspect. Detectives from the Sexual Assault Unit have linked suspect Jason Luis Washington in at least two sexual assaults; one in Solana Beach on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at approximately 6:10 p.m. and one in Rancho San Diego on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at about 8:10 a.m. Suspect Washington is still at large and considered ARMED & DANGEROUS. He is believed to be driving his white 2000 Honda SUV, California License Plate #4KYE043 . If located, do not contact Jason Washington, call 9-1-1 immediately.

Until they catch him, please be extra, extra careful. Check all your doors and windows (lock them as soon as you enter your vehicle). Do not exercise or walk alone, even with your dog. If you are at the office late at night, please ask someone to walk you to your car (I'm usually here late, so we can walk together).
