Happy Valentine's Day everybody!  If you are interested in trying out a new sport, there's a fun outrigger canoe race going on at Mission Bay (Ski Beach) this Saturday morning.  Most of the participants have never paddled before, so it's a great opportunity to just have fun...and there are prizes, too!  Let me know if you are interested or have any questions.  I've participated the past couple years, and it's been a blast...and you get a good work-out, too!

11th Annual Valentine's Day OC-6 Massacre : Saturday, February 16th

This is especially a great event for first time paddlers or people who just want to do something crazy. You won't know the course, you won't know what canoe you'll be in, you won't know who you're paddling with, and you won't know what comes next. FYI... cheating is not condoned, but it is encouraged. Read more below.
Location:
Ski Beach pavilion, Mission Bay
Cost:
We are asking a $1-$5 donation at registration - we'll use some of the funds to offset the cost of awards, and the rest will be donated to the Salvation Army for San Diego Fire Relief Fund.
Bring:
Food and drink to share
Something to donate to the raffle (optional - you'll get a second ticket if you do)
Extra cash (if you want to buy more raffle tickets)
Schedule:
9:00 am - Gather and register
9:30 am - Training for first-timers
10:00am - Start the massacre!
11:00am - Dry off, warm up, win awards, win raffle prizes
11:30 - Eat, drink, be merry
