| My favorite anecdote about recumbent back comfort in general is the time a friend of mine went down (two-wheeler- Rans Rocket, I believe) at 30 mph crossing a muddy, wet wooden bridge at the bottom of a hill and cracked one of the lower vertebrae. Somebody helped him get unclipped and he got back on and rode 30 miles back to his car. He had real trouble driving, though...... and limped around for months.
