Fitting a Triple Chainring to a Villager   Message List

Thanks from Gordon

Hello Brian!

Thanks for your reply.

The costs sure make the dual drive seem like a good choice.  The gearing numbers are right in the sweet-spot on the bottom, and it keeps the front end nice and tidy!

How much did the new wheel and lacing up the hub cost you?  Are there any hassles with installation?  Do you have to drill or modify the frame in any way?

By the way, I could not find your pics.  Searching for “Beagle 77” brought up 53,577 results!

Cheers,

Gordon

Hi Gordon, There shouldn't be any problems with installation as Catrike revamped the dropouts so the clickbox for the internal shifting will fit ok. I had the...

If the boom is the same as most of the other cats I would be looking into a replacement boom already fitted with with the derailer mast. Very simple process...
