Re: [TeamCatrike] Re: 'nuther New Member

Bill,

I bought planet bike fenders and put them on myself which saved me alot of cash since Catrike sells the same ones for alot more. For clipless pedals I say its a must but its really up to you I love mine I use spd bought them from Nashbar.( they always have gret deals) By the way I live in a dry state but I love the fenders I kept on hitting my finger nails on the tires thats the main reason I bought mine and they make the trike look cooler.
I also bought a cheap rack and it carries whatever I need it to also purchased the bag at Nashbar. SO good luck

I've used fenders ever since I've had my trike. Some don't use front
fenders, but many use at least a rear fender. They do help somewhat,
especially the rear one. But if you go quickly through standing water,
even with front fenders your arms will get wet. But not as wet as
with no fenders.
I'd recommend going to www.catrike. com and click on "Board". That
will bring you to the Catrike message board. It's very active and
helpful.

My rear rack is the cheapest of the cheap. And it works great. Not
quite a "clean" install but not bad. It nicely carries a 900 cubic
inch trunk.
