I take it you live in flat(ish) territory? I'm really feeling the
weight of my new Expedition when climbing (where's the great-granny
gear?). It doesn't help that when rigged for my commute my ride tips
the scales at between 50 and 55 pounds. It IS scary fast on the
descents though. If Wednesday was any measure, I was on a six lane
divided highway with a 35 MPH limit and I was coasting at the speed of
traffic which usually runs 10-15 over the limit.
Gotta unusual question--In all my commuting days prior to the Catrike,
I have had to make an emergency pit stop once in seven years (over 200
commutes a year for the last five years). In the past three DAYS I
have had to hit the head immediately upon arrival at work twice and
made one public facilities call. Is this me or is it a recumbent
phenomena?
