Re: trike

Having just joined the board myself I first wanted to thank the admins
for having it in the first place. Looking forward to spending some
more time around here.

My wife and I bought two 06 Speeds in late October and have great luck
with them so far. Being 6' 4" getting in and out of the Speed is a
little cumbersome but using the handlebars make it pretty easy.
Although I put a bar end mirror on one bar this weekend and I can see
I'm going to have to find a new way to get out. Some people like the
handbrake slingshot method.

The angle when riding especially when you use the neck rest is not
unlike riding in an easy chair. Before I bought the Cats I remember
reading about the seat angle and thinking it was too reclined, but
when I got them all I could think about was how the 700 felt.

My father in law has a couple Sun recumbents and the cats sit a little
different. The sun's are a lot like sitting in a padded chair, where
as the Cats have a little more give. Maybe like a tight little
hammock? (not a lot of give but you sink a little) Very supportive and
awesome for long distances.

Since you think getting in and out will be a problem, I would suggest the pocket/expedition would better suit you. The Speed and 700 are laid back more and...

Al, I'm primarily here for the chatter, looking to get a 'tad in the near future myself. Unfortunately I'm too large for a catrike, but the sun looks like a...
