Welcome to "STARZ" San Diego TAndem RiderZ !

STARZ is a fun group dedicated to tandem rides and after-ride social functions in the San Diego, CA area.We welcome all levels of riders. The only prerequisites are to want to ride and have fun. Weekly rides vary from easy to moderate to hard, with distance, terrain and pace the determinants for the rating.

  • One Stylin' ride per month - 30 or so miles, speed 12 mph average, < 1,000 feet of climbing
  • One Motorin' ride per month - 50 or more miles, speed 15+ mph average, > 2,500 feet of climbing
  • Two Cruisin' rides per month - 30-50 miles, speed 12-14 mph average, < 2,500 feet of climbing

We have a library of rides. Leading a ride is easy. Just volunteer and show up. The ride master will do the work of selecting a ride and telling the group about it. Rides normally end with lunch. YUM!.

Leave O'Side Harbor overflow lot at about 9, head north through the base to San Clemente for bkfst at Pipes. Have fun with the lawn, Kirk - catch you next time

Ride Sunday?
Anyone going out on Sunday? We're thinking of Mission Bay to Pt. Loma, or more likely Oceanside Harbor up to Pipes in San Clemente. Looking for about 40 miles
