ALL those who are ULTIMATE in the DFW area,

Although the sun is shining and it looks to be a
beautiful day, we CANNOT play on the fields at Old
Sheperd's Park today. As Ultimte players, we are
self-regulated and are espectful of the fields and
equipment. In the true Spirit of the Game, we
shall let the fields dry so as not to dammage the
playing surface that we so cherish.

I am sorry...PLAY IS CANCELLED for SUNDAY, FEB. 17 in
PLANO.

FYI:

This is week four. Our goal to this point is that
YOU should be able to run a warm-up and a cool down
and organize competitive games with student
leadership. I am very pleased with the progress of
this group. We are developing quickly in our
attempt to prepare for statewide competition.

We will play one more week in PLANO, and then move to
Southlake for our last week. I am hoping that you
can bring full rosters, and we can play school against
school in these next weeks. We would like to keep
some record of DFW team play to help with seeding at
the STATE tournament.

Please, have at least one representative of your team
subscribe to that group to participate in statewide
decisions. We want to know where Ultimate teams
are playing and encourage you to organize.

Regarding the 2008 STATE tournament...

Presently, we have fields reserved in College Station,
a place that equates travel for all of our Texas
teams. The problem is that the date we were given
(March 22) is the day befoer Easter.

As we have spent many hours seaching for a location to
play in mid April, is seems that our choice is to play
conflicting that family holiday, or wait until after
May 14, when soccer players are finished league play.

So, please, check with your players about the March 22
date, and respond to me ASAP. In fact, do that
today if you can, since we will not be spending four
hours playing. If you do get your teams together
today....please, RESPECT the field space in your
neighborhoods. "Leave it better that we found it."

Thanks for all you are doing to build Ultimate at your
schools.
