TEXAS, Ultimate!...and the Ultimate Players
Association.


Cole Staats, McCallum High School in Austin, Texas was
chosen to try-out for the National Team that will
represent the United States in the Youth Division of
the World Ultimate Tournament that will be held in
Vancouver in August, 2008. Try-outs are in Seattle
on March 8th, 2008 Cole, we are proud of you!

Jonathan "Bunker" Hillis applied for a grant to
support the Program that Texas, Ultimate! developed on
his campus to earn Physical Education Credit for
participatin in the Ultimate Club there. The UPA
granted $250 to support our program at Lyndon Baines
Johnson High School in Austin, Texas.

Until MARCH 1, the UPA is accepting applications
(bids) to attend the Youth Club Championship (YCC).
Leagues in TEXAS can apply to send a team to the
tournament. The state of Texas was represented
in this tournament during the summer of 2006.

The Ultimate Player's Association (UPA.org) is the
National Governing Body for the Sport of Ultimate in
the United States. Youth membership has risen
consistently. Current Youth membership is 5,199. In
2004, there were 2,139. In 2002, there were 730. As a
player-run organization, the UPA is exactly what
members make it. Your dues, donations and passion for
Ultimate keep the sport going and growing!

To join for the first time or to renew, use online
registration or download and print the membership form
from the link at the top of the page and mail it in.
Youth Membership costs $20 annually and includes
members that will/did not reach their 19th birthday
before June of the current calendar year and have not
graduated from H.S.
