TEAM CAPTAINS,

It was a great day at BB Owens this past Saturday.
THANKS to those who came out! We played Ultimate
for a couple of hours, and then some players got in a
round of disc golf as well. The weather was
PERRRRRRFECT for throwing the disc around!

I know that Columbus is too far to travel for Dallas
teams. However, Columbus is almost center betwen
Austin and Houston. So, those players will meet and
cut travel time in half!

Texas IS a geographical challenge!

After our meeting on Saturday, it seems that we HAVE
INTEREST to organize league play in Dallas-Fort Worth
for High School Clubs this Winter. We would like to
run the leagues simultaneously with the Houston and
Austin dates (Beginning after winter break and ending
before spring break), so that all have the same
lead-up/team preparation to our STATE Tournament in
April, which we hope to schedule in College Station.

It seems that Sunday afternoons are best to play for
the kids in Austin, because field space is not
scheduled for other sports; and Sunday afternoons are
usually free for most players, while Saturday's are
busy with other activities. I am not sure what the
kids in Hosuton are doing. However, the weekly day is
totally flexible from city to city.

In Dallas, the league is a geographical challenge.
Looking at the list of contacts for DFW, I think it
is best that we develop an East Division and a West
Division.

St Mark's will play East with Hillcrest, Frisco,
Greenhill, Plano West, and Plano Shepton. West will
include Cistercian, Keller, Grapevine,
Southlake/Carroll, Lewisville, Flower Mound.

I am hoping you that we can have TEAMS/SChools host a
home game on a weekend between January 13 and March
1st.

If you think you can host Ultimate league play at your
school, please make contact with your administrator,
and check the availability of field space at your
school.

We would need space to set-up 2-3 fields. If WE
need to pay or provide proof og insurance for field
use, please introduce us to your school administrator
in charge of facilities. IT is VERY IMPORTANT that
we GET PERMISSION to use school facilities.

At the couclusion of division play, we will host a DFW
tournament in a central location, where east and west
will meet. We have six weeks to get the division
play in, before a tournament on a Saturday before
spring break. Perhaps you can check you school
schedule to give advise for when your team can play on
a Saturday.

League guidelines, have ben approved, and we will
begin the the registration process thorugh our website
next week.

check it regularly, as we develop High School Ultimate
Leagues around the Lone STAR State.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR TEAMS IS DECEMBER 15, 2007.

How exciting.
