Yes, I agree, RIchard. The league would be approarate
for 10th grade or older. I think it would be
frustrating for smaller, younger players to
participate on a weekly basis with adults. Although
our Ultimate adults are the best adults around!
So, here's my question. Are there any younger players
interested in a summer experience? We can get
something going for you, with a little communication.
Some schools are contunuing pick-up through the
summer. We just need to announce the time and place.
Kealing? St Francis? Are you guys taking a break for
the summer? Austin High, Westlake, LBJ???
WE can designate a pick-up game and invite anyone to
attend who wishes. I think that would be an age
appropriate situation, and would accomodate the summer
travel. Can you imagine if your family was on
vacation in a Texas city, and you knew where you could
go and spend an hour or two playing Ultimate instead
of being stuck in the hotelroom with your folks?
Seems fabulous! So, Houston, Dallas and Austin---post
you summer play plans, let's network!
Stay tuned for the opportunites to play UItimate in
Austin with
YouthinterACTIVE. They are hosting an event on June
8th at Auditorium Shores and another sometime in
August with the place to be announced. Ultimate will
be a part of each of these very active days in Austin.
Peace,
Barbara
