Hi everyone,
As most of you have heard I had a bit of a fight between my motorcyle and a
Nissan Maxima. I was in the lead but got taken out with just 3 miles to go. At
any rate, Jonny-J outlined my injuries which will certainly impede on my season.
I will try my best to complete Hawaii this fall but that's dependant on my
rehab. At any rate, I've posted on my blog page at www.jeremysartain.com. I'm
caught up with work (only from home mind you) and will now be able to update at
least every 48 hours. Bottom line is that I survived a very bad crash on the
freeway and will most likely make a 99% recovery within the year. My hip will
most likely cause issues the rest of my life but it is way too soon to tell what
extent that will be. The surgeries went as great as possible - they found all
the bits and my neurovascular structures were intact when they went in. I so
appreciate all the support I've had thus far - it's been very overwhelming and
incredibly touching. Since I most likely won't get 'triathlete of the year'
this year I hope that you will all consider voting for me for 'most likely to
crash'. That would be the ultimate honor to receive at the MMA banquet.
Thanks!
