As always, our tri club has an inside shot at securing the coveted transition area volunteer responsibility at the Lifetime Fitness triathlon on July 11th. If you are new to triathlon or an experienced racer and are not planning on racing that race, join us! You'll be able to watch the race from a unique spot, up close and personal. You'll be able to watch the pros come in and out of transition (and be amazed how fast they do it!) as well as see many friends who are racing. Best of all, you're giving back to the sport in the so-called Fourth Event (volunteering).
Here's an email from coordinator Rob Dries including a link to sign up specifically for the Transition Area.
I know it feels like spring is barely here, although it's
time for all the event coordinators to start planning for the 2009 Lifetime
Fitness Triathlon.
FYI
- Similar to the last few years, we will be happy to have you for whatever hours you are available on the 11th. I know it's difficult to dedicate an entire day to volunteering…
- If you can't help on the 11th, although would still like to help, we also need volunteers to set up on the 10th (email me directly about this one at robadries@...)
- Once you are on the list, I will provide you additional detail.
Thanks in advance, looking forward to seeing you on the 11th!
