Hi everyone,
We had a great session with the folks from CycleOps last night! Great
information on not only training with power but training principles in general.
Our next series of clinics is coming up very quickly - see the attachment. We
have a series of bike handling and bike maintenance clinics that we've revamped
a bit from what was originally stated. We beleive that we've produced the best
series in which you can pick individual evenings based on your perceived level
and interest. As always, we are open to suggestion and appreciate feedback.
Don't forget that this weekend is the off-road bike handling clinic with stud
off-roader Jonny-J! I know that I'll be taking that clinic myself. Please
visit www.tcmultisportsclub.com for registration information for that. Do note
that we will be changing the information on the 'regular' bike handling clinic
shortly, so discregard that info and utilize the attachment. More clinics are
on the way - I'll get that information out soon!
We're working hard on additional group training efforts. Right now we are doing
stair repeats on the James Jay Hill stairs in St. Paul. Meet in front of the
Saint Paul College main entrance at 6:30p.m every Wednesday for some sick fun.
If you wish, you can add in some strength training with Jonny-J and the Personal
Trainer Internship students at 7p.m in room 2225 of the college. We'll be
adding group rides and track workouts soon led by other members of the TCMC
elite team.
Also, stud announcer Jerry McNeil is back in the reporting action with his blog.
Visit www.minnesotatrinews.blogspot.com for details on all the local races.
Additionally, there is a new website in town that I can only describe as the
'slowtwitch of Minnesota'. It's an open forum that is geared to everyone and
anyone in the tri scene regardless of club affiliation. Visit www.tridonkey.com
for a great website that will help you find training buddies, get you advice
from pros and more!
Lastly, I'm finally back to blogging. I promise to do race reports regularly
and dish out the scoop whenever possible. My blog is www.JeremySartain.com.
That's the news for today. We look forward to continuing to serve the
developmental needs of the Minnesota triathlete!
