RE: [TCMCMN] TCMC Bike Handling Clinic and Swim Clinic Previews

To All,

Obviously from this e-mail below and from talking with Bill Copenhagen this morning, the last photo I sent was grossly misinterpreted, soooooo, just to clear things up, it is NOT a KKK photo!  Rather it is a costume used elsewhere in the world by Catholics celebrating Holy Week.  In particular, this was a photo of people taking part in the “procession of the 'Cristo de la Luz y de la Buena Muerte' brotherhood during Holy Week in Ferrol, northern Spain, March 18, 2008. Hundreds of Easter processions take place in Spain during Holy Week around the clock drawing thousands of visitors.”  The quote is from the picture source, the London Times newspaper.  Here is a link to the photo gallery with other photos as well: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/template/2.0-0/element/pictureGalleryPopup.jsp?id=3591903&&offset=10&&sectionName=Sport&randnum=null

My intent was not to offend anyone.  I personally did not interpret this to be KKK as (1) the Klan is always in white, (2) the Klan’s gear isn’t as tall on top as these are and (3) as a former Catholic, I was aware of this garb in use around the world at Easter (it’s also used extensively in South America) but apparently others are not aware of it.  So, I apologize if anyone was offended.  My bad, end of story.

Art...the "Klan photo", although you meant to be funny...not so much.

Hi All,

Having been to one of Jonny J's hardcore spin sessions this winter and knowing that he'll be involved in the upcoming TCMC bike handling clinic, I just wanted to give folks a glimpse of what to expect (see attached photo - TrainingIdea.jpg).  In the photo (of a super-secret practice session held recently at an undisclosed location), Jonny J is third from the left on the ground practicing a move that will be repeated by all clinic attendees.  Hope you’ve been working on your six-pack!

In the second photo (SwimClinic.jpg), we can see Jeremy (directed by Jonny J who is just off to the left and not in the photo) practicing one of the required swim drills that all who attend the clinic will be expected to duplicate………200 times!  After completion of all 200 reps, you’ll be given a chainsaw and expected to carve out your own 50-meter swim lane.  Buyer beware!  J

And finally in the last photo (ClinicStaff.jpg), you’ll see the clinic staff getting psyched up for the clinics!  See if you can pick out which one is Jonny J. (HINT: Jonny J frequently says, “Who? Me?”).

Happy training!
