Attention players, fans, & friends of Mayhem.

 

We are in need of a video camera to use for 3-4 practices over the next few weeks as well as on our trip to Chicago. If you have one & are willing and trusting enough to part with it for a few weeks we would be ever so grateful. Footage will be used both for study for the team, but also in the creation of a few wickedly edited clips of the team to use on the site.

The beer bust/Auction is this Saturday as you all know: Some of you have elected to provide your own packages/dates for the night. Murderball a documentary about Quadriplegic Rugby Players on the US Team, is hitting the Landmark Uptown theatre on the 29^th of July Friday night.

 

I don’t know how long it’s going to run for, so I will be going that night. Should be awesome, it did huge at Cannes & Sundance.

Mayhem Players,

 

It’s coming up on that time gentlemen. We are to elect half the board. One of the things that will set this club apart from the others is our organization from the start. While we are still working out many bugs in this fledgling year, it’s important to strive for excellence on & off the pitch. Being on the board has meant a 2-4 hour time commitment per month over the last few months, which will become less & less now as things are beginning to run much more smoothly. Make no mistake, without the board jumping hurdles & working in the background, we wouldn’t be as far as we are today. I urge you all to consider taking a position.

 

The way the sitting board has worked things out: half the board will be elected every January, the other half in July. This way we don’t suffer from having an entirely new board all at once. The positions are to be elected as follows.

MAYHEM RFC OF MINNEAPOLIS

 

The kits are here! In my house! I will be bringing them to practice tomorrow around 11:30. If you haven’t paid yet, have a check ready if you wanna take it home!

Our kits were delayed by one more fucking day guys. Sorry to have to tell you this. I’m awaiting the tracking # to confirm their departure. I will have the kits at the pride booth as well as bring them to practice on Saturday.

 

Sorry about this, but the shipping aspect has been out of our hands.

So, last update on Kits.

 

They are shipping this afternoon, overnight. I will have them sometime tomorrow afternoon. I will make myself available tomorrow evening at my place to distribute them to all who can come collect them. If you can’t on Thursday we can try to arrange something on Friday afternoon. I have clients @ the Gym from 11-Noon and can hang out there until about 2PM if need be. I’ll make arrangements with folks at practice tonight 6/22/05 if you won’t be at practice tonight, and you’ve ordered a kit, e-mail me with yer phone # today and I’ll call you tomorrow once they have arrived.

OK Misters, Sasquatch Barbie (Ryan) has declared that we must St. Paul it a bit this week! Wednesday night as many of you as can, get to the Townhouse in St. Paul around 9:30. It’s a chance to recruit members for the team as well as potential bidders for the Bachelor Auction!

I had doug hold off a few more days for boot orders. Please call him by Saturday if you still haven’t ordered a pair. Also per coaches instructions, everyone needs to have a ball! You can order one of them too when you call Pac Rugby.

 

He’ll put the order together and ship everything off at once. Call him @ 619-299-9206. Let him know it’s part of the Mayhem Order. This will help defray shipping costs.
