Sorry if this is a repeat.
Over the past week or so, I located the picture of every player that was on a TAFL roster last year. I think one of the cool features about the Action!PC Football program is that you can have a player's picture appear in the upper left-hand corner of each player's info page. I also found a few football field picture files that can be viewed during game play if you use the horizontal field option. If you don't care about player photos and field screens, just ignore this e-mail. If you are interested, however, here is all you have to do to get the pictures to appear in the game:
There are three .zip files for the players, and one .zip file for the fields.
The "PlayerPhotos" .zip files contain a total of 1272 player photos. Just unzip the files and put the player photos in the "PlayerPhotos" file (in your C: drive). When you open the program, the pictures should appear on the individual player info screens. If a player photo doesn’t show up (which I guarantee will happen for some players), you can manually assign a picture to him using the following steps:
Click on ROSTERS
Double-click on the TEAM that the player is on
Click on ROSTER, select PLAYER PHOTOS
Click on the player you need to edit in the big box in the middle
Click on the player’s photo in the box on the left
Click on USE PHOTO FOR {player name}
Click OK - that's it!
(Players like Roy Williams, WR and Roy Williams, S will have to be manually assigned)
The "WeatherFields" .zip file contains 7 football fields (1 for a dry field, 2 for a rainy field, and 4 for a snowy field). Just unzip the file and put the field pictures in the "TeamLogos" file (in your C: drive). You will need to manually assign the fields for dry, rainy and snowy weather using the following steps:
Click on ROSTERS
Single-click on your TEAM NAME
Click on MODIFY TEAM at the bottom of the screen
The field options are on the right-hand side of the box that appears
- choose "APCgrassfield" for the dry field / click on USE FIELD
- choose "APCmudfield" or "APCmudfield90" for the rain field / click on USE FIELD
- choose "APCsnowfield", "APCsnowfield25", "APCsnowfield50" or "APCsnowfield90" for the snow field / click on USE FIELD
Then, hit the SAVE button - that's it!
After our rookie draft, I will get the picture files of the players that we drafted, and send another .zip file to the league. If you have any questions, let me know at CommishGFFL@....
