Bill,Thank you for your interest in the Woodmoor Elementary swimming pool. The following are the basic parameters associated with a potential lease agreement for the facility. These parameters will also be posted on the Northshore School District web site.Woodmoor Pool Operations
Situation:
The Dolphin Community Pool swim program pilot was operated by the Northshore School District over the last two years at Woodmoor Elementary. The program was unable to cover the costs of operation and has been discontinued. Some community organizations have expressed interest in operating a swimming program at the Woodmoor pool.
The district will consider proposals from independent agencies that may wish to operate a swimming program at the pool. Any proposal must operate the swimming program completely independently from the Northshore School District, assume insurance risk and liability, cover a portion of the maintenance and cleaning, and hire appropriate staff outside of any district union contracts or agreements. Between now and April 1, 2008, the Board and staff will consider any legitimate written proposal meeting these criteria and the basic parameters identified below. Any agency that leases the pool must operate the swimming program under its own auspices, as a separate legal entity.
Basic Parameters:
1. A basic lease agreement could be a multi-year period with potential options for extensions. The term will follow the school-year (September – August).
2. Operation of the pool can not interfere with the operations of Woodmoor Elementary School.
3. The facility could be available before and after school on school days. Hours for non-school days (weekends and breaks) are negotiable. Holidays are not available.
4. The leased spaces include the main pool and the use of restroom and locker room areas. (Therapy pool is excluded.)

6. The operator will be responsible for the regular cleaning and maintenance of the pool itself. (Chemicals, cleaning, equipment maintenance, etc.) Details subject to approval by NSD.
7. The monthly minimum lease payment will be approximately $ 4,200.
NSD Will Provide:
· Routine maintenance and cleaning for restrooms, locker rooms and offices.
· Utilities.
