I am very upset right now. I have a very bad back. I have been
instructed by Dr. Jens Chapman, a back specialist from Harborview to
swim for at least 15 minutes at least 4 times a week. I bought a
swimming pass for $165.00 and proceeded to swim laps. It made my back
feel much better and I enjoyed it even though I would itch very badly
and had difficulty breathing at St Edward's pool. Then I became very
ill. At first I was diagnosed with a sinus infection. After taking a
series of 3 different antibiotics I was told it was not an allergy
nor sinus infection. It was the mold at the pool. There is no money
available to fix this known serious mold problem at the pool. But I
hear we are studying the situation.
So now I get to hear about our city council's plans for a $15+
million SIGNATURE building 25,000 sq. ft. Kenmore City Hall.
I have been to city hall 1 time in 24 years as a Kenmore resident. I
have no community pool that is safe to swim in or to take my
grandsons to but I will get to drive down (if I am not stuck in
traffic) 68th street and gaze at a beautiful new building that I will
never use. Thanks Kenmore.
