This is uncharted territory for the clippers.
Hopefully, with a win against utah, they can actually move
above .500 and possibly 7th place.
Wow!!!!!!!<br><br>How many of you thought you would ever hear Ralph
Lawler say "Who can expect the Miami Heat to compete
with the Clippers."<br><br>Wow<br><br>Let's hope they
keep this up for a long time. With 6 dominant teams in
the West, you might not need to finish that far above
.500 to make the playoffs.
Since my internet connection and computer got
screwed up, I can only use the Internet on the library.
=(... I'll post when I can, meanwhile I want to keep
the club updated so I want to give founder's access
to cheo323 and MrMadmanLA. (Just don't change the
colors guys ;)

It was Jim Todd. He took over as coach in 2nd half of the 1999-2000 season,
when Chris Ford was fired. I think now he's in the small college ranks back on
the East Coast
Hello folks, it's another edition of the
Editorial. Well, as I'm writing this, it's day after the
Clips lost to the Lakers for the 16 in their last 17
meetings. Final score--Lakers 98, Clippers 93. Also, star
forward Lamar Odom is still on the suspension list, after
8 games. <br><br>I just want say that I respect the
Lakers, and the fact that this franchise has won 13 world
championships in 52 years, and boast some of the greatest
players of all-time, like Mikan, West, our beloved GM
Baylor, Kareem, Magic, Wilt, Worthy, Kobe and Shaq. But,
I can't stand the Lakers' uppity attitude towards
the rest of the league. Although it's not their fault
that the rest of the league, except a couple of teams,
basically sucks, doesn't mean I want to hear about how good
the Lakers are. If you're a Clipper or Celtic fan,
you're sure as hell don't want to hear that. Now, I know
how New York's "other" team, the New Jersey Nets (who
will be here on Thanksgiving night) feel, playing
second fiddle to a now-mediocore-at-best New York Knicks
after all these years.<br><br>Anyways, I digress.
However, and not to sound like a chronic complainer, there
are some of our Clipper brethern who can be sometimes
disillusional. Now, I'm just as big a Clipper fan as many of
you, but more realistic. Like last night, something
told me that the Clips might lose to the Lakers
anyway, but I do have faith in my team, and I wanted them
to win so bad. Well, we have three more meetings
with them, so it's the start of true
beginning.<br><br>I think that last night was a test for the Clips,
and I wish that Odom was back. I can sympathize with
Lamar, but what he did was pretty selfish. He's depended
upon from the the entire organization, and of course
the fans. I bought a Lamar Odom jersey the other day,
and as long he's still a part of the franchise, I'll
support him. If and when that Michael Jordan ass-kisser
David Stern lifts the suspension, the Clips can really
get rolling.<br><br>Have a very happy and safe
Thanksgiving, and I'll see ya next week, Peace!
Good luck with the Clippers. They will beat the
Lakers. Miles and Brand will dunk in Shaq's face.
Piatkoski will score three points in Robert Horry's face.
Boykins will score in
hate-to-admit-the-most-talented-player-Kobe Bryant's face. . Damn the Lakers.
The hell with
them. Go Clippers!!
This is an Emergency We need to vote in Our
Clipper's let see if we can get them on the team I already
have 8 people vote them in from my job so help spread
the word and remember to add Quentin Richardson in at
Guard along with Jeff Mcinnis.
Does anyone find it strange the Clippers are helping everyone with trades? The
Clippers hardly get crap and they waive any players they recieve? Is this a
"business" trick of Sterling?
(From Yahoo! Sports)<br>Suns get Outlaw,
first-round pick in three-team deal <br><br>November 16, 2001
<br><br><br>PHOENIX (AP) -- The Phoenix Suns acquired forward Bo
Outlaw and a first-round draft pick from the Orlando
Magic on Friday in a three-team deal also involving the
Los Angeles Clippers. <br><br>The Suns sent
guard-forward Jud Buechler to the Magic and guard Vinny Del
Negro to the Clippers. Orlando also gave cash to Los
Angeles and acquired an option to swap second-round picks
with the Clippers in the 2005 draft. <br><br>The
first-round draft pick acquired from Orlando is the remaining
selection that Phoenix sent to Orlando as part of the
sign-and-trade deal to acquire Penny Hardaway in 1999.
<br><br>Outlaw, in his ninth NBA season, is known for his
rebounding and hustle. <br><br>``Bo Outlaw should
immediately impact the energy level of this basketball
team,'' Suns president Bryan Colangelo said. ``He has
proven to be an effective defender, rebounder and shot
blocker. He can change the flow of the game.''
<br><br>Outlaw was in his fifth season with the Magic. He has
averaged 6.5 points and 5.6 rebounds in his NBA career. He
averaged 3.4 points and 2.9 rebounds in 10 games this
season. <br><br>His finest season came in his first with
Orlando in 1997-98, when he teamed with Hardaway and
averaged career highs of 9.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.2
blocked shots. <br><br>Buechler came to Phoenix last
summer with John Wallace as part of the trade that sent
Cliff Robinson to Detroit. Buechler appeared in six
games with Phoenix and scored six points on two
3-pointers. <br><br>Del Negro was acquired by the Suns in a
trade midway through last season. He has played in two
games after starting the season in the injured list
with a foot injury.
Dude I am not comparing Dikembe to Quentin it was an example c'mon how could you
compare the two? All I said is that they both happen to do something after they
did a play they like.
First againts Portland now againts Phoenix..For a
second time in a row I can't watch the Clippers on
TV!!!..Damn!..anyway the Clippers are leading the Suns right now (as
usual) I hope they can this off!
He needs to stop banging his hands against his head after every single
shot.<br><br> It is annoying and if I was an opposing player I would lay him
out.<br><br> Just Play Ball
After watching this team so far, I think the
Clips would be better served having a starting five of
McInnis, Q Richardson, Brand, Odom, and Olowokandi. I
gotta keep Olowokandi in there, especially since he's
been playing with more aggressiveness, which is
something he has lacked in his career. If I had my way,
I'll start Sean Rooks over Olowokandi, because Rooks
can shoot and is a much superior player. Maggette and
D Miles would the FIRST two guys I bring off the
bench every single night.
hey Clipperfan I think your gonna have to change the heading cause people could
misunderstand the hungry part for having the munchies due to odom little problem
j/k.
a blessing in disguise... is right. We get to see
Cory Maggette show what he can do again;just like last
year. Sure they were 1-4 w/out Lamar, but I recall at
least 2 of those loses were in overtime. Whenever Cory
gets a chance, he shines a big rebound, a spectacular
dunk, a defensive stop and he makes his foul shots.
Maybe LAMAR will come back and work as hard as CORY and
once again earn the respect of fellow players and fans
alike,as he is a special player. I'm sure glad they worked
so hard this summer because the chemistry they
created will prevail. GO CLIPPERS!!
Yes, but it may be a blessing in disguise...
we're seeing how strong our team is without him, and
maybe the time will come when we decide to part with
ways... he certainly isn't going to deserve a max
contract unless he shows up a different, better player and
stays that way. But Brand, now he deserves his dollars.
I am very disappointed at Lamar Odom. I thought
he would have learned from his first time... doesn't
he know he is also a role model for many young
people in the world? Also, as Mike Smith said, "...this
could be the reason why Lamar did not look or act like
himself, he was at times spaced out..."
i know, someone should tell him that hes not a three point shooter, every other
shot he takes is a three and he doesnt make any, but i guess now we know
why...<br><br><a href=http://www.LAClips.com
