It seems like the basic argument for sterling is this: until one
proved he's shaq/kobe/tmac superstar status, no money for you.
While
that's a fair argument, it is a flawed basis for running a team
that
aims at winning for so many reasons which I will not go into.

It is no secret that sterling plays it like a businessman, that
unless
he's 100% sure he'll win the championship, he's satisfied with
finishing last year in and year out.  The thinking is, if I'm
not
going to win it all, why not just take the profit?  Fair enough,
so
here's my humble opinion of what I think every clipper fan
should do.

First, we need to make the economics not work for sterling.  The
truth
is that he can run the team to be profitable year in and year
out
without winning anything.  So the fans need to do 4 simple
things, DO
NOT GO TO CLIPPERS GAMES.  DO NOT BUY CLIPPERS MERCHANDISE.  DO
NOT
WATCH CLIPPERS ON TV.  DO NOT EVEN LISTEN TO THEM ON RADIO.

Let's try to see how sterling makes out this season along.  The
clippers drew 700000+ fans this season, at average ticket price
of 40
dollars.  That's 28 mil in tickets for the season.  You add that
with
26 mil from national tv revenue, 15 mil in luxury tax and escrow
tax
rebates.  That's 69 mil(the number we know) + his local revenues
+ his
concession stands percentage.  Take that - 42.7 mil in player
salary -
operation cost he's making a huge amount of money(20 mil+?) just
this
season along.  Now while the fans aganized over the losing, he's
laughing all the way to his bank.  Now emotions aside, I for one
will
not let him rape me of my hard earned cash anymore.  It's
obvious he
has no passion for the team, why should the fans invest?
