Today, when I asked a Whistler telephone operator if the "Peak to Peak
Gondola", which directly connects Whistler's Roundhouse with Blackcomb's
Rendezvous is still in the works, she said that they planned to open it
in December 2008 and said it would improve the 'accessability' of the
two mountains. I thought, "with global warming depriving the lower
parts of both mountains of any snow (natural or manmade), a skier would
have to switch from ski boots to hiking boots if he wanted to switch
mountains". Sounds like 'accessability' is going to be a real big
problem for Whistler once this world heats up.
