Never was there a night of fights that displayed the true nature of the
cage then EliteXC's Heat card for October 4th live on CBS primetime.

In the nights showcased fights we saw Gina Carano use the cage to her
advantage and avoid the aggressive takedown attempts from Kelly Kobold
all night. She was able to use her size, strength and balance on the
fence to avoid all but 1 throwdown. The on going effort of Kobold
weakened her over the course of the fight and opened her up to
effective strikes from Carano leading her to an easy decision victory.
