always will outnumber the losing streaks. We close out a fantastic overall

Indianapolis-Denver UNDER 49
Both teams will be better off running the ball. Jake Plummer and Peyton
Manning don’t exactly have the postseason resumes of Joe Montana or Terry
Bradshaw. Manning is going up a pass defense that allows 5.7 yards per pass
against teams averaging 6.2. They allow just 18.8 against teams that
average 22 ppg. However they do give up 4.2 yards per carry.
Meanwhile the Colts allow a generous .5 yards per carry more than their
opponents average and they face a Denver team that gets 164 rushing yards
per game including 167 on the highway. However, Indy gives up 6.3 yards
per pass against teams averaging 6.4, so in the “take what the offense gives
you” philosophy, both teams should run.
Indy’s Cover-2 defense is actually drastically improving. They are active
on defense and a short passing game is much more effective than going up
top. We look for Shannon Sharpe to be Plummer’s favorite receiver.
