I will be out of the office starting 11/03/2009 and will not return until 11/06/2009.
I will be on jury duty, and will answer emails at night, and calls as I am able. If your request is urgent, please call Susan Laco, office administrator at Coconut Point. Thank you.
There are about 20 airline seats remaining for the Spring Break trip to Big Sky, Montana. If you have been considering skiing during Spring Break now is a great time to make a decision. Airfare sells out quickly during March for ski destinations. I have to release the airfare soon if you don't snatch it up. Lift tickets are a low rate of $47/day. More details can be found on the website link below:
Big Sky offers 3,600 acres and 150+ named runs on three mountains. The longest run is 6 miles from Liberty Bowl to the Mountain Mall and the skiable vertical is 4,350 ft.The average winter temperature is 25 degrees and the average annual snowfall is 400 inches. The sheer magnitude of the area coupled with a state-of-the-art lift system make lift lines virtually non-existent.The Summit is 11,166 ft. and the Mountain Village is at 7,500 feet. The terrain is geared for all levels of skiers and boarders, with about half for advanced and experts and half for beginners and intermediates.A side trip to Yellowstone National Park (through the Roosevelt Entrance to the North) is an incredible adventure and an opportunity not to be missed.
***If you're a Single and looking for a roommate for this trip, please contact me. ***There are Singles wanting to sign up and willing to share a large condo.***Or a couple wanting to share a large condo***
See the website for details, and call me with questions so we can arrange your ski trip!!!
With the beginning of November, we find ourselves starting to think about the holidays. With all the fun they bring, the holidays create a shortage of time as well. Hence, the first reason for writing. Please mark your calendars for our Club’s Holiday Party, Sunday, December 13th, 4-7pm in Merritt Island. Plenty of details forthcoming. For now, please hold the date.
Second, many trips will be closing out in the next few weeks. It is time to decide on which fabulous trip to go on. Think this way, you cannot make a wrong choice! If you don’t choose, you’ll be left here in the HEAT while we are out on the COOL (okay, cold) slopes! Check the website, SpaceCoastSkiClub.com and contact the trip leaders individually....now.
Third, attached is a great new trip being offered May 1-8, CRUISE THE GREEK ISLES. Clair Quenzler is the trip leader. You know how good she is at finding a bargain and this time, she has out-done herself! If you cannot open the attachment, call Clair at (321) 632-1715 or email: Clairqski@... It promises to be a fantastic adventure!
For now, enjoy your leisure time while it lasts.....

I have to release unused reserved space next week for the Jackson Hole ski trip.
So if you have been thinking about going on this great trip with its great
price, now is the time to act. Only $1,097 plus lift ticket cost for a week of
old fashion western fun!
http://www.spacecoastskiclub.com/2010JacksonHole.htm
Jackson Hole ski resort has something for everyone. The mountain has over 2,500
acres of inbound terrain on two fully connected mountains - Apres Vous and
Rendezvous. Of this, 50% is beginner/intermediate skiing. And for the more
adventurous, there is another 3000+ acres of open backcountry gate access
skiing. The town, replete with wooden sidewalks in the style of the Old West,
has more than 50 restaurants, shops, theaters, and tubing parks. It is a real
town that is home to several world class spas, exceptional dining, and countless
choices for entertainment and shopping. Beyond Jackson Hole, you have both the
Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park at your doorstep to
explore.
I hope to hear from you soon!

Jackson Hole trip leader
We are currently working on the annual club brochure to be distributed initially at the Extravaganza on September 12th. The brochure showcases our upcoming trips and has a multitude of pictures from the past season. It serves to chronicle the club’s history and let everyone know what is in store for next season.
We know budgets are tight but we also know that times like these require businesses to advertise even more. We limit the number of ads so that as the advertiser you do not feel there are too many. We invite you to consider placing an ad in our 2009-2010 brochure.
Rates as follows: Business Card $ 40
1/4 Page 125
1/2 Page 175
Full Page 250
We have not raised our rates in years...
All ads are black and white. Submit your ad to Tracy Lewis at tracyleo@... or mail to:
Call Tracy at 777-8899 to hold space. Talk to Tracy for technical info regarding display ads. If you ran an ad last year and want to repeat it, let her know. Payments for the ads should made out to Space Coast Ski Club. Send payment along with your ad.
Our brochure is considered a professional publication within the Florida Ski Council. Most of us have kept them as a ‘Year Book’ of our personal trips and adventures with the club. Therefore, ads are seen years later! We distribute our brochure to many local businesses around the county along with every member of the club.
Thank you for your support,
Carla Constantino

Located
just 45 minutes from the Salt Lake City airport, Ogden is centrally located to
three of Utah’s major ski resorts, Snowbasin, Powder Mountain and Park
City. The trip package includes transportation and lift tickets to
Snowbasin and Powder Mountain. A 6th day ski package for Park
City is available. Snowbasin offers over 2820 acres of skiing (with over
600 acres of snowmaking) which is serviced by 12 chairs capable of lifting
16450 skiers per hour. Powder Mountain offers over 5500 acres of skiing,
the most of any ski resort in the United States. Averaging over 500-in of
“real” snow each year, Powder Mountain covers three mountains with
114 runs, 25% beginner, 40% intermediate and 35% advance. Additional
activities include the newly opened Salomon Center, Union Station, four
Museums, 15 art galleries, symphony and the Historic 25th Street.

One line of cars can go around the circle drive in front of house on outside of circle. Do not block direct front of house. The circle is narrow there and cars could not pass or drop off passengers.
Everyone else can pull off of the driveway on both sides and angle park. Please park close together. Watch out for trees. Driveway is L shape. Ground is hard enough for parking all along it.If that gets full--start on cul-de-sac.
We are very excited about the party and can't wait to see all.
We have an opening for a single female on the January 17-24, 2009, FSC trip to Snowmass. Cost is $1,495. Lift pass, ski rentals extra (discounts available). If interested, please contact me immediately at home 321-779-9165 or work 321-867-2145.
As the holidays arrive, so does the deadline for most of our ski trips.
Next week, we will be closing our trip to CORTINA, ITALY. Space is still available to the club’s favorite European destination but only for a few days. With the perfect (and I do mean perfect) Italian village, a dynamic mountain to ski, and plenty of options to take in European sites, this FSC trip promises to deliver.
A 3-day pre-trip to Venice will make you fall in love with Europe all over again especially with news about the recent strength gained by the U.S. dollar. It is highly likely, the price of the trip is going down, (yes, down) by $100-150 per person.
Published price at the moment: $2075 per person, Option to Venice, add $650
Call or Email Rick Schmid immediately (yes, right now) and sign up before the trip closes!
Don’t miss the chance to spend New Year’s Eve on Steamboat Mountain!!
Central Florida Snow Skiers / Snowboarders are approaching the final deadline for signups.
This Holiday trip is from December 26 thru Jan 1, 2009
Final deadline is November 24th (next Monday) . We have 2 people from the Space Coast Ski Club that want to go BUT we need the other bedroom full. Couples or singles welcome to join the group.
They also have air seats left until November 24th.
Contact Cal immediately for all the details and to sign up!
