I have 10 spots left for this trip to the northeasterly
corner of New Mexico.
We have a direct flight into Albuquerque leaving
Orlando at
12:15 P.M. Saturday afternoon. Arriving at 2:20 our bus departs for the
2.5 hour trip to Taos.
Along the way we’ll stop in Santa
Fe, catch a bite to eat, and do shopping in their town
square famous for the works of local artisans. We return the following
Saturday (1/17/09) at 7:50 P.M. in Orlando,
so you are not traveling in the “wee” hours.
Our first class condominium is about 35
yards from the main chairlift at Taos,
and our week has a special of $90.00 for daily 2 hour lessons. You’ll
ski with the same small group for the week during your lesson, and come away
with an impressive sharpening of skills. This is a small mountain which
limits daily tickets sales, so there is never a wait. The local food is
true southwestern style, and our condominium manager has taking us one evening
to his home for a special meal.
If you have any questions about this trip,
please don’t hesitate to give me a call. You can reach me anytime
and I’ll try to impart how special this ski area is.
Our friends at Central Florida Snow Skiers have just a few spots left on the Holiday Trip to Steamboat and Breckenridge Spring Break so jump on these if you are interested. Remember, Space Coast has joined forces with CFSS for these two trips and will not have other options for these dates.
Our FSC Snowmass trip is SOLD OUT with a wait list. If you worried about hanging with your buddies already signed up with Space Coast, don’t. There will be plenty of opportunities to be together as a club even though you will be staying at the CFSS condos. If you want to join us in January, you need to respond to CFSS quickly.
Steamboat Springs : Dec 26- Jan 1st , We have only 4 spaces left at $1499 per person for air
from Orlando, 6 nights lodging at the Ranch, deluxe bus to & from the Ranch , welcome party,
New Years Eve party , club discounts on lifts and rentals.
Snowmass: FSC Party Trip : Jan 17-24. We have only 4 spaces left . One condo needing
either 2 guys or a couple . Another condo needing a couple or 2 females . Party , ski , race
with all the Florida Ski Clubs and of course your Space Coast friends.
Breckenridge Spring Break : Apr.5-11. We have about 12 air seats and 3 ski-in / ski-out condos
left and this trip will be sold out. Don't wait if you want a spring break ski trip.
Contact Cal Sennett at skibum0120@... or call 407-298-2270. First deposits

Join us this Saturday, September 27th at Peter Glenn on International Drive
in Orlando for ski club day, where special discounts will be offered. See
the attached flier for more information.

Sad to say but another club year comes to a close on April 30. The good news is you can renew your membership and look forward to another great year of club activities. In order to travel with us, you need to be a current member. So instead of waiting in line at our fall extravaganza, why don't you fill-in and mail the attached membership application now. That way you will be assured not to miss a newsletter or announcement of upcoming activities. And with your new membership card, we can get you into our club's social events quickly. As a reminder our club's membership year runs from May 1st to April 30th.
To the many members who have already renewed or joined the club, your membership cards and welcome letters are being mailed in early May. It good to have you back for another year!!
This is what you would have encountered if you had signed up for the ski club trip this week out west. Snow is bountiful still! Vail has had 34 inches in the last week! Mother Nature seems to be hearing the need to keep snow falling in April for all Spring Breakers and those of us ‘young at heart’.
On a personal note, thank you to everyone who came to Kevin and my ‘Surprise Wedding Reception’. It was a wonderful evening. Marty and Annita Megregian, along with Cuong and Tami Nguyen-Phu were perfect hosts. We did receive a couple of gifts with no card so if you did not get a note from me, this is why. (Now, don’t everybody claim credit....)
Enjoy the weather before it gets blazing hot and don’t forget the Spring Fling on April20th.....hope to see you there!
Carla

Dear friends ...
We are getting closeeerrr to our exciting trip .
Few thing for you to know these days of economics changes
In Argentina today the dollar rate is very GOOD for us
Almost 3.3 pesos to the dollar
That means great shoping ,eating and drinking…
I organized also a friend of mine to take the ladies for a great shoppind to the leather manufactures ..
Best shoes ,leather jackets and boots .
But the most important thing I will be there protecting our interests, means, good music, fun, and exciting places to discover .

In order to accommodate everyone expected, you are asked to follow these parking directions. Let's leave parking lot squabbles to the 'other' parties.
1. Several Parking Attendants wearing neon green vests and carrying flashlights will be guiding you. PLEASE follow their directions.
2. You will be parking directly off the road near Jim's home on the opposite side from the river. Please pull straight in; NO PARALLEL or ANGLE parking. You will be parking between fence posts of the River Ridge sub-division.
3. EVERYONE needs to park on the SAME SIDE of the road to avoid traffic problems (and tickets). Again please follow the Parking Attendants directions.
By following these simple directions, there will be plenty of parking space and anyone will have a short walk across the street to the party. Thanks for your assistance on this.

We need a single female to be the fourth to fill a 2 bedroom / 2 bath condo unit. Trip price is $1250 including air and ground transportation, lodging, and several parties. Air is on Delta with direct / non-stop flights between Orlando and Salt Lake City. Lodging is in Park Station which is on the main street of historic Park City and next to the Town Lift which provides direct mid-mountain ski lift service.
This is our last available space and last chance to join our fun group of 40. Call me at 779-9165 (home) or 867-2145 (work) if you want to go.

Also attached is a flyer for “SKI WORLD” which is hosting a ‘ski club shopping night’ at their store in Orlando on November 27th from 3-7pm. It may be worth the drive over to get a look at the latest ski clothes and gear just in time for the holidays.
For now, count your blessings and have a bountiful Thanksgiving holiday.
Carla
One week left to fill my last 2 openings. I'm looking for 2 to join another couple in sharing a 2/2 condo. This 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom unit provides you with your own private bedroom and bathroom, and it gives you a large living / dining room area and a full kitchen.
Location, location, location! The town ski lift is right around the corner giving you practically ski-in/ski-out mid-mountain access from historic Park City main street. Skiing at your door step, shopping and dining at your door step. What more can you ask for?
How about direct, non-stop flights (no layovers or connections) between Orlando and Salt Lake City? And only a half hour bus ride to the resort...
A fun group? Many from my trip last year to Crested Butte are with me again this year, so I know it will be a fun trip with a good group of people. But if I don't hear from you before next Tuesday, you will miss this great opportunity. Check out the attached flyer for more info.
Join us tomorrow for Space Coast Ski Club’s Oktoberfest!
Thursday, October 25th, 6:30 – 8:30pm at Pizza Gallery, at the Avenues in Viera (across from Rave Motion Pictures). Pizza Gallery will have 2 for 1 drink specials and free gourmet pizza.
This is your second opportunity to talk to the trip leaders and sign up.Trip leaders have cancellation deadlines coming up so now is the time to sign up!If you have already signed up for a trip, bring some friends along and invite them to join the club. Don’t be left out in the HEAT while we’re getting on a plane to go play in the snow!
Check the club's website, www.SpaceCoastSkiClub.com, to get more info about all the trips for this season.
What could be better than taking the family to Vail for Spring Break in 2008? Vail is the largest single-mountain ski area in North America. Vail has it all with 32 lifts, 193 trails and four terrain parks. We dare you to cover the 5,289 ski-able acres in one trip!
Combine skiing with countless other options such as Vail’s Adventure Ridge at the top of Eagle Bahn Gondola offering lift-served tubing, ski-biking, kid’s snowmobiling, ice-skating, and bungee trampolines and you have a formula to wear out the kids (and yourself). Not enough choices? Add in dog sledding, sleigh-rides, fly-fishing, snowshoeing, and horseback riding to fill your days and nights. Oh yes, and there are a few places to shop and eat.
Worried about snow in April? Check out the attached video that was taken in Vail the same week as this trip just last year. No one can guarantee snow but with the above list of activities, you’ll be busy regardless of the weather.
The trip is includes:
Round-trip on United from Orlando direct to Denver
Ground transfers
6 nights lodging at Vail Spa
Lodging and Air Tax
Group activities with Fun Trip Leaders!
Price:
$1100 per person in a 2 bedroom

Clair,
I would send this video link out to
prospective families who might want to go on your trip next spring to
Vail. While we can never guarantee the snow, more than likely, it will be
spring conditions and the families will have fun.
