Today I delivered the gifts to the Salvation Army that were donated by the people that attended the Christmas party. The whole back of my van was filled with the wonderful toys that you donated. The Salvation Army workers were so appreciative of our support.
I took the gifts to an old furniture store in Cocoa where they are setting up the gifts for the families that have requested help this holiday season. It was an amazing sight to see.
They are sorting the gifts and putting them in order for the families. They number the families and try to give some of the gifts that each family requests. Of course, that isn't always possible. And still many families still have no gifts attached to their number.
So if you still feel like doing something nice for someone, take another gift (or a re-gift) into the Salvation Army. They particularly still need things for older children. The holiday season is certainly the time to give to others and to appreciate all the things we have. I wish you JOY this Holiday season.
