It seems the worries about the coffee stop were needless - no-one turned
up! That's according to Alan Hartshorne who used Sutton Cheney Wharf
before continuing to the Church End Brewery. Being a "Postie" he's used
to setting off on the bike in inclement conditions! While we enjoyed a
pint or two at lunch, Gill Stocks arrived with friends/relatives though
not on bikes; and John recognised a pair from the Nuneaton section, also
without bikes.

By the time we left the roads were dry, the sun was shining, and the
wind was helpful at times. The garden centres were closed as Gill Lord
had forecast, so luckily the white stuff held off til I was nearly home
and I wasn't thwarted by Mr.Beanbags being closed. Shan't be out next
Sunday, as at Worlds at Manchester.
