As a matter of curiosity, where did everyone get to today? I went
straight to coffee at Thornton - to find the Fuchsia Centre not open.
So I went to Polly Botts and got a coffee or two there. But no one else
showed up to support Ben. Did everyone go home for lunch, or was there
an alternative venue; and did Thornton ever open for coffee, if so
when? Looks as if we should not use it in future. No one else showed up
at Swithland for lunch, after which I followed the Cycle Routes through
Watermead Park for the first time; then I did a recce of my planned
route back from the Carol service in December via the Cow & Plough at
Stoughton (CAMRA pub of the Year)using back street cycle routes.
