Not gay, just flamboyant. I'm not going to comment

on the goose to the rear. Will phone Monday, lean

steering trike design. Have 80 new bents coming in

in June. Have new model, "The Eagle", lightweight

aluminum 700.

Similar to this one, but a 700 with lighter stuff.

Later Racer,

Hey,

I'm so happy we had a nice group of dysfunctional bent riders on today's "ride-but-don' t-learn-to- fix-anything" ride. As it has now become a tradition, we started a LOT later than expected, rode a lot slower and a lot faster than expected, had a thousand unscheduled stops, had a zillion mechanical failures, lost a few riders and barely managed to survive a thunder storm. But being the tough survivalists we are, we simply ignored the bad weather and invaded Lester's diner for a GREAT lunch. The folks at Lesters were more than happy to accommodate our 14 people party (I think it was 14, but it could have been 15 if Catrike Steve had not quit on us) Hey Mr. Catrike Steve, I'm really sorry this ride was way to strenuous for you but next time we'll try to go a little slower though hmmmmm… all of us would need to bring a trike to a ride Catrike Steve could do cuz it is really hard to keep your balance when you're doing 3 Miles per Hour.

The highlight of our event was without a doubt the RE-ENTRY of Mr LiveR Strong Joe Keenan (a.k.a. Slow me butt Joe) I was soooooo happy to see him I didn't know what to do. Honest. I was also so impressed with how good he looks after major surgery. But forget Joe's looks. What really impressed me is how strong he still is! At one point, Joe and I went back to one of the parks in search of a lost bent rider (who wasn't lost at all). Joe was moving so fast, I had no chance of catching him. At one point, I must have been doing 18 MPH and Mr. LiveR Strong was still pulling away from me. Now that is the kind of spanking I deserve!!!

Anyway, thank you Joe Keenan, Catrike Steve, Steve D, Jeff, Stroma, Maria, Maria, Ana, Christina, Carlos, Carlos, Susan and who else am I missing? Oh….. thank you Shari and Jeff for making sure we were still alive after our adventure.

Now, as far as learning to fix a flat, well, that didn't happen cuz a little lightning was enough to scare us into having lunch. Now we have to fix this reputation and schedule the class again.

Once again, thanks guys!!!

Never mind. It went for $900 on ebay. This is the second apparently
lightly used TE to go for less than $1000.

Was really fun to ride with y'all today..... woot!!

Special shout out to Ana who picked me up cause I can't drive..yet.

As always thanks to Jose for leading a fun ride with almost no
traffic....nice to have that.

Catrike Steve taught us to be a "Horse Whisperer", which we do have to
practice. Never saw a horse turn tail and skedattle that fast!!! Lesson
learned!!

Looking forward to riding with y'all again when I return to the south in
October/November. In the meantime, if ye get to Oregon, come on by.

Sorry I missed it. My husband got up early this morning and thought it was a great day to take out the boat. I told him I couldn't go as I was finally going to meet these riders I have been eavesdropping on. I guess it was early because I should have realized the boat gets pulled by same truck I use to transport my bike. So I rode alone evidently earlier than you guys as I beat the storm. Please reschedule, really want to meet everyone. Pam

Hey,

I'm so happy we had a nice group of dysfunctional bent riders on today's "ride-but-don't-learn-to-fix-anything" ride.

This is a M/L TE over by Ft Myers that seems to be having trouble
finding a home. It is on ebay and craigslist. I don't know the bike
or the seller (caveat emptor), but this is the second time I have
seen this for sale, and now it seems to be lingering. I'd buy it
myself, but I take a size M, and I prefer the disk rear dropouts.

This is not meant to be a commercial message, just an FYI. I like to
know about used bikes, and maybe others do too.

Location:   Vista View Park, Davie Fl
Notes:   NEW RIDERS: Here's a chance to RIDE at an easy pace and LEARN how to fix a flat!
EXPERIENCED RIDERS: Here's a chance to help me TEACH!!!

This ride is for you if you want an easy leisure ride through the Davie Trails AND would like to learn how to fix a flat. The plan is to ride for about 15 miles and come back to the ride start location for a brief flat repair workshop. You'll have a chance to see how this is done and practice with your own tire.

When? Sat May 30, 09 Meet @ 7:45 AM;
Bike @ 8 AM (14 miles plus or minus 2)
Learn to fix a flat @10 AM
Where? Vista View Park, Davie Florida

To participate you must bring the following:
1. Your body and at least a tiny fraction of your brain
2. Your bike
3. A desire to learn this simple skill
4. Some tools - tire lever, patch kit, tire jack, etc. (or bring a little cash and you'll be able to purchase the basic tools needed for this simple repair at a ridiculous discount)

Learning how to fix a tire is easy heck I can do it and I'm mechanically declined) and is a basic skill ALL cyclist should master.

Experienced Bent Riders are WELCOME to help me with this workshop! Please email me if you'd like to help!!!
