I am definitely with you on that point!

My first thought on reading Irina's comment was that she saw
"somebody's husband" who's not much of a skating fan
but merrily went along with his wife and was eating to pass
the time. A bit of a stereotype, but I've certainly seen it
when I attended shows and competitions.
