HOCKEY - NHL MVP Sidney Crosby of Cole Harbour plans to take an active role in his contract talks with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
"I'll try to be a little bit involved," Crosby told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "I think it's important to be aware of the conversations and things like that. I'm not the agent, but I want to be involved. It's a learning process. I want to educate myself. I'm sure there will be some interesting conversations and I'd like to be aware of them, for sure."
Crosby is looking to sign a long-term contract extension with the NHL club.
"Both sides want to do what's right," he said. "That's the important thing. It has to be fair, obviously. At the end of the day, it's still a contract, and both sides have to be happy."
